Nandamuri Balakrishna has teamed up with director Boyapati Srinu for the highly anticipated sequel Akhanda 2. While the film was initially slated for a theatrical release this month, post-production delays have pushed the release to a later date. With no confirmed release yet, Balakrishna personally addressed the matter in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly.
When legislators and ministers inquired about Akhanda 2, Balakrishna urged everyone to first watch ‘OG’, which is set to hit the screens on December 5th. The release date was previously held by the makers of Raja Saab, who have now postponed their film to Sankranti next year.
Balakrishna also revealed that promotions for OG will begin soon, expressing full confidence in the film’s content. He added that the Hindi dubbed version is progressing well, and audiences are expected to enjoy it.
This isn’t the first collaboration between Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu; the duo has previously delivered hits like Simha, Legend, and Akhanda. Thaman is once again composing the music for Akhanda 2. Fans can also expect new posters or a teaser to be released around Dusshera or Diwali.
