There were reports that Balakrishna was set to make a guest appearance in Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2. The potential collaboration between these two South Indian icons generated considerable excitement among fans, who were eager to see them share screen space.
However, according to the latest updates, discussions between Balakrishna and the Jailer 2 team reportedly hit a roadblock. The actor is said to have requested an extension of his role, with additional scenes and greater prominence in the storyline, along with a higher remuneration for his appearance.
After careful consideration, the filmmakers decided not to agree to these revised terms. Consequently, Balakrishna’s inclusion in the project was dropped. It remains unclear whether another actor will step in to fill the role.
Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is slated for release in June 2026.
