Battle for War 2 Telugu Rights Heats Up

The Telugu film market has become a major force in the Indian film industry, with movies from all regional industries—Malayalam, Hindi, Kannada, and Tamil—garnering massive box office collections and attention. Amidst this growing momentum, NTR continues to ride high on the success of his back-to-back hits, and his upcoming Bollywood film War 2 has generated significant buzz. Set to release globally on August 15th and starring alongside Hrithik Roshan, the film is already one of the most anticipated releases.

As excitement builds, the race for the Telugu distribution rights of War 2 is intensifying. Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments is making a determined push to secure the rights, especially following the success of Devara, which has solidified Sithara as a major player in Tollywood. The company is keen to maintain its momentum. Meanwhile, Sunil of Asian Cinemas, a prominent figure in the Nizam area, is also vying for the rights to distribute the high-profile film.

However, the steep asking price of Rs 150 crore by Yash Raj Films has created a tough competition. Both Sithara Entertainments and Asian Cinemas are willing to meet this price, confident that the returns will justify the investment. With both companies in a fierce battle for the rights, the outcome of this high-stakes competition is still uncertain. All eyes are now on the final decision regarding War 2’s Telugu rights.
