India is currently navigating one of its most sensitive and volatile situations in recent years, following the retaliatory Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam attack. While the situation at the border remains a serious concern, the discourse unfolding on social media tells a completely different story.
In a recent statement to the media, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan, issued a stern warning to celebrities and social media influencers. He emphasized the need for caution during these testing times. “This is a time that calls for responsibility,” Kalyan said. “Celebrities and influencers must remember that it is political leaders with integrity and determination, not celebrities, who steer the nation. If any celebrity or influencer crosses the line by sharing international posts that harm the nation’s interests, there will be serious consequences.”
Kalyan commended those in the entertainment industry who are voicing their support for the Indian Army and promoting nationalistic sentiments. However, he also made it clear that celebrities and influencers who voice opinions contrary to the nation’s welfare would face harsh repercussions, including possible legal actions and arrests. He urged social media personalities to avoid making reckless comments during such a sensitive time, cautioning them not to “bark like dogs” while the country is in the midst of a tense situation.
The Deputy Chief Minister’s words reflect a strong stance on maintaining national integrity and unity during critical moments.
