Dhurandhar Shows Strong Box Office Momentum

December 10, 2025

Dhurandhar, the spy-action drama directed by Aditya Dhar and headlined by Ranveer Singh, hit theatres last Friday and has been showing a solid upward trend. A decent opening combined with strong word of mouth helped the film gather momentum through the weekend, with BookMyShow numbers reflecting the positive buzz.

On day one, Dhurandhar sold 376K tickets on BookMyShow. Day two saw an impressive jump to 462K, followed by a further rise to 490K on day three. Monday, being a working day, dropped to 378K, yet held steady and stayed close to the opening day count. On Tuesday, the film climbed again with 408K tickets, surpassing both Friday and Monday.

Early advance bookings indicate an even stronger Wednesday. PIC advances stood at 47,000 on Monday, 80,000 on Tuesday, and 98,000 for Wednesday at the time of reporting. If this pace continues, Wednesday could emerge as the film’s biggest day yet. The second weekend is also expected to outperform the first.

Dhurandhar is the first part of a two-film story, with the sequel slated for release on March 19, 2026. If the current momentum sustains, part two could easily open bigger at the box office.

Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar under Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film features an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi, along with Manav Gohil, Danish Pandor, Saumya Tandon, and Gaurav Gera in supporting roles.
