Post Baahubali, Rana has opted for different cinema – Ghazi, Nene Raju Nene Mantri. Continuing the trend, Rana has signed an unique film based on animals, especially elephants. Said to be a trilingual (Telugu, Tamil and Hindi), Rana has signed the film on the dotted line.
To be directed by Prabhu Solomon, of Gajaraju (Kumki) & Prema Khaidi (Mynaa) fame, the film is franchise of Haathi Mera Saathi which was a 1971 classic film based on Human-Elephant Dosti.
However, Prabhu and Rana seem to have chosen a story that is inspired by real life incidents. The film is said to boast extensive VFX and spectacular visuals. Prabhu’s films always have a great dose of nature. Nature plays a pivotal chracter in his films. This will be repeated in Haathi Mera Sathi.
The film’s shoot will be kicked off in January in Thaliand followed by several authentic locales in India. Apparently, this is a tribute from the makers to Rajesh Khanna who was seen in the original.
Like original, the franchise also revolves around a beautiful relationship between man and elephant. Trinity Pictures, of Eros International, is bankrolling this trilingual film.
