A lot of interesting films were released this weekend and one of them is ‘Bharateeyans’ which is directed by Deenraj. The trailer and the rest of the promotional content suggested that it is going to be an action drama filled with patriotism towards India.
‘Bharateeyans’ is a movie that sheds light on the evil strategies being devised by the Dragon Country and how the great India exposes them to the world. The film’s cast involves Nirroze Putcha, Samaira Sandhu, Subha Ranjan, Peden O Namgyal, Sonam Barphungpa, Rajeswari Chakraborty and others. Despite having a lot of flaws in the movie, ‘Bharateeyans’ is definitely an honest attempt and the love for the country is pretty much visible from the director and producer.
The camera work is good and the actors gave some decent performances. Barring a few scenes, the film takes too many things for granted and there are parts where some scenes are borderline silly too. But one has to appreciate the attempt and the intent of the filmmakers. Many claim that the movie might have been more impressive had the proceedings been more interesting and gripping with proper attention to detail.
Satya Kashyap has the music for this movie and Jayapal Reddy is the cinematographer. Shiva Sarvani is the editor while Dr Shankar Naidu bankrolled this project. The movie generated mixed responses from the audience and we need to see how things turn out in the coming days.
