Malayalam heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan continues to shine in Telugu cinema, with his latest recognition at the Gaddar Telangana State Film Awards reinforcing his rising prominence in the industry. The versatile actor received the prestigious Jury Award for his standout performance in Lucky Baskhar, which also secured the third Best Film award for the year.

This isn’t Dulquer’s first moment of glory at the Gaddar Awards. His 2022 romantic classic Sita Ramam was honored as Best Film, while his portrayal of legendary actor Gemini Ganesan in the critically acclaimed Mahanati (2018) also earned top honors—cementing his track record of being part of remarkable, award-winning Telugu films.

Taking to Instagram, Dulquer shared a heartfelt message:

“My journey in Telugu cinema has been nothing short of extraordinary. I’ve been blessed to find the most wonderful teams telling the most timeless stories. To see every single film I’ve been part of get recognized is a feeling I cannot describe.”

He also expressed deep gratitude to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the jury, the state government, and Telugu audiences worldwide:

“Thank you for this acceptance, this recognition and appreciation. I’m grateful and humbled every day by your love.”

Although Dulquer couldn’t attend the award ceremony, he acknowledged the team who accepted the award on his behalf:

“It feels poetic that Nagi, Swapna, Priyanka, Hanu sir, and Venky held the award in my absence—because without them, none of this would have been possible.”

Lucky Baskhar, which released worldwide on October 31, showcased Dulquer in a nuanced, grey-shaded role as a bank cashier—a performance that won critical acclaim and added another milestone to his Telugu film journey.
