Big Debate: Who Should Be Credited For Bringing Cheetahs!

Share

Thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, we saw Cheetahs which have been extinct for a few decades coming to the country. The other day, Narendra Modi released wild creatures at a national park. The BJP is crediting Narendra Modi for bringing the big cats.

But welcoming Cheetahs turned political with BJP and Congress fighting for the credit for bringing the big cats. The saffron party is saying that it achieved what Congress could not in bringing the big cats to India. But Congress is saying that it initiated the project long back.

As per the version of Congress Rajya Sabha member Jairam Ramesh, the Congress planned the project to bring Cheetahs back in 2009 but they could not do so as the issue was pending with the Supreme Court. He even shared a letter that goes back to 2009.

The letter was written to the Wildlife Trust of India by Jairam Ramesh himself who was the Union Minister for Environment and Forest then. In the letter, he requested the Trust to look into bringing the Cheetahs.

But the supporters of the BJP are saying that whoever brings the Cheetahs should be given the credit and the saffron party should be seen as the owners of the credit. On social media, supporters of both parties are fighting on this. Both the ruling and opposition parties have their versions of this.

Motherhood Redefines Yami Gautam’s Career Choices

Yami Gautam is not one to rest on past success. The actor has already moved on to her next project, Navya Naveli, a horror-comedy to be directed by Tamil filmmaker Balaji Mohan. Known for films such as Vaayai Moodi Pesavum with Dulquer Salmaan and Maari starring Dhanush, Balaji brings his signature blend of humour and emotion to the project. The film will be produced by Aanand Rai.

Speaking about how motherhood has reshaped her approach to life and work, Yami shared, “Becoming a mother shifts your entire universe and gives you a completely different sense of purpose. Everything — your routine, priorities, even your definition of strength — evolves because of the little one who now owns your heart. Storytelling remains my passion and something that fulfils me deeply. Balancing both roles isn’t a fixed formula; it requires constant adjustment. What matters to me is that my son grows up seeing his mother pursue her dreams with joy, while knowing he is always at the center of my world.”

Yami candidly admits that her career choices are now guided by her real-life role as a mother. “I genuinely believe once a mother, always a mother. Your priority, your world, will always be your child first. Being a working mother also means being fully committed to whatever work you take up. I am learning to embrace that flow instead of chasing a perfect balance,” she said.

Expressing gratitude for her support system, the actor added, “I will always be grateful to my mother for stepping in, taking care, and holding the fort back home with my son while I am away at work.”
