Abhishek Bachchan Files Plea to Protect Personality Rights
Just a day after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan approached the Delhi High Court to safeguard her publicity and personality rights, her husband Abhishek Bachchan has filed a similar plea. In his petition, Abhishek urged the court to restrict websites and online platforms from misusing his image, likeness, and name, as well as from circulating fake or AI-generated content.
Representing the actor, his counsel argued that several defendants have been creating AI-generated videos, forged photos allegedly bearing his signature, and even sexually explicit material, all without authorization. The plea highlighted that such misuse is part of a growing trend of online fraud exploiting celebrities’ identities.
Like Aishwarya, Abhishek also sought the court’s order against “John Doe” defendants — unidentified parties who may publish or host such infringing material in the future. These orders are commonly used in intellectual property and personality rights cases.
On the work front, Abhishek was last seen in Kaalidhar Laapata and is gearing up for his next projects, King and Raja Shivaji.
