Within a few hours, both ‘Bimbisara’ and ‘Sita Ramam’ are going to hit the screens worldwide. Since the month of July ended up being a nightmare for the film industry, everyone pinned their hopes on these two films. While ‘Sita Ramam’ is a classic love story set against the backdrop of war, ‘Bimbisara’ is a socio-fantasy film with a lot of action.
There is a positive buzz on both the films and the teams have done very good promotions too. Coming to the pre-release business, Kalyan Ram’s ‘Bimbisara’ is slightly ahead of Dulquer Salman’s film. Apparently, Kalyan Ram’s film needs to get 15 crores from theatres while 14 crores is the target for ‘Sita Ramam’ to reach the safe zone.
The Nizam rights of ‘Bimbisara’ were sold for 4 crores while they got 2.5 crores and 6.5 crores from Ceeded and Andhra regions respectively. It needs to get 1 crore from the rest of India and another crore from the overseas market.
Coming to ‘Sita Ramam’, the film was sold for 4 crores in Nizam area. The theatrical rights in Ceeded and Andhra region were given for 2 crores and 6 crores respectively. Warina Hussain, Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Srinivasa Reddy and others played key roles in this socio-fantasy film. Chota K Naidu is the cinematographer while MM Keeravani composed the music. Chirantan Bhatt gave tunes for the songs in this film.
Dulquer Salman and Mrunal Thakur are the lead actors in ‘Sita Ramam’ which is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. Sumanth, Rashmika Mandanna, Gautham Menon and Tharun Bhascker played key roles. The movie will have a simultaneous release in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages. The film features a big list of noted actors like Prakash Raj, Shatru, Bhoomika Chawla, Rukmini Vijay Kumar, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore and many more apart from the lead actors.
