The by-election for the Huzurabad assembly seat is creating a lot of curiosity in Telangana. With the resignation of Etela Rajender, the state government is allocating most of the funds for development works in Huzurabad in order to win back the constituency. The KCR government has also locked a date to roll out the ‘Dalit Bandhu’ scheme as a pilot project.
With the highest priority being given to the Huzurabad constituency, the pressure is increasing for the MLAs in other constituencies to resign in the remaining constituencies as well.
Against this backdrop, Goshamahal Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Raja Singh has announced his resignation. Announcing this, Raja Singh said he is under pressure from the people of the constituency to resign as an MLA and would submit his resignation letter to the Speaker as soon as the CM announced the funds.
Raja Singh was outraged that funds would not be allocated unless the elections. He also reminded that there are SC, ST and BC in Goshamahal constituency too and demanded to give Rs 10 lakh for them as well. The BJP MLA made it clear that if KCR releases funds soon, he will quit as MLA.
