Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagendran has stated that the party respects the people’s mandate and will not be part of any government formation efforts in the state.
He clarified that the BJP does not have the required numbers to form the government in Tamil Nadu and therefore will not stake a claim. He also made it clear that the party will not extend support to any alliance attempting to form the government.
Nagendran’s remarks underline the party’s position of staying out of post-election coalition negotiations in the state.
