Following the tragic terrorist attack in Kashmir’s popular tourist destination, Pahalgam, on April 22, which claimed 27 lives and severely impacted the region’s tourism industry, several film productions scheduled in the valley were cancelled due to security fears. However, Bollywood actor Bobby Deol is set to break the hiatus as the first major star to resume shooting in Kashmir post-attack.

Demonstrating commendable resolve, Bobby Deol has encouraged his film crew to proceed with their Kashmir schedule, emphasizing the importance of the valley’s scenic mountainous landscape integral to the film’s narrative. His decision is expected to inspire confidence not only within his team but also across the broader Indian film industry, potentially encouraging other productions to reconsider filming in Kashmir despite the prevailing security challenges.

Bobby Deol has garnered critical acclaim recently, marked by his impactful comeback in Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor, followed by notable antagonist roles in Aashram, Kanguva, and Daaku Maharaj. He is also slated to appear in a negative role in Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming pan-India historical action drama, Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

Deol’s determination to return to Kashmir signals a positive step towards reviving the region’s film industry and reinstating the valley’s reputation as a sought-after filming destination.
