National Award winning actress Vidya Balan, who is known for her power-packed performances in movies like ‘The Dirty Picture’, ‘Kahaani’ etc. is coming up with yet another film having a bold theme.
Vidya is playing the madam of a brothel in her upcoming film titled ‘Begum Jaan’. The film’s first look poster was released today and Vidya is introduced as an intimidating lady. Holding a hookah pipe in hand, Viday is seen sitting on a chair in the poster. The tagline of the poster reads, “My Body, My House, My Country, My Rules”.
‘Begum Jaan’ is inspired from the real story of a brothel, that was divided against the will of its inhabitants during the India-Pakistan partition in 1947. The film is slated to hit screens on April 14.
