The Tamil Nadu government was thrown into panic today following a series of bomb hoaxes targeting high-profile locations. False alarms were reported at several prominent residences, including those of the Chief Minister, the Governor, and notable celebrities.
The Chennai police control room received a call on Friday morning claiming that a bomb had been planted at actress Trisha’s residence in Teynampet. Although the actress was not home, police immediately conducted a thorough search with sniffer dogs and confirmed the threat was a hoax.
Similar false alarms were reported at the Governor’s Mansion, the Chief Minister’s office, the BJP headquarters, and actor SV Shekhar’s residence. Detailed searches at all these locations confirmed they were hoaxes. Authorities have launched an investigation to identify any individuals or groups responsible for the repeated threats.
