Senior Telugu Desam Party leader and former MLA Bonda Umamaheshwar Rao and another senior TDP leader from Allagadda A V Subba Reddy are going to become close relatives very soon.
Party sources said Bonda Uma’s son Bonda Siddharth has fallen in love with Jaswitha Reddy, daughter of Subba Reddy, who held the post of chairman of AP State Seeds Development Corporation.
Both have studied in the US and are said to be presently working there. They convinced their parents and are likely to get married very soon.
The engagement is going to be held at Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad on March 27 and the wedding date has not yet been finalised, sources said.
Siddharth and Jaswitha have also been actively involved in the TDP activities and had campaigned for the party in the previous elections.
While Bonda family hails from Kapu community, Subba Reddy, as the name suggests is from Reddy community. The combination is rare, but because of the political connections, they have become closer.
There was a talk that Subba Reddy might join the YSR Congress party, because of his rivalry with Bhuma Akhila Priya, daughter of former Nandyal MP late Bhuma Nagi Reddy. But somehow, it did not work out and Subba Reddy is still continuing in the TDP.
