Brahmanandam Reveals Why He Stayed Away from Bollywood

Brahmanandam, the undisputed king of comedy in Indian cinema, holds the record for acting in the maximum number of films and has even earned a place in the Guinness World Records. While his dominance in Telugu cinema is unmatched, his presence in Bollywood has been surprisingly limited. Recently, the legendary actor revealed the reason behind it.

At the launch of his autobiography in English and Hindi, Brahmanandam explained why he did not actively pursue Hindi films. He admitted that the language barrier played a crucial role in his decision.

“Comedy thrives on timing, diction, and subtle nuances. Since Hindi is not my first language, I felt I wouldn’t be able to create the same impact in Bollywood as I do in Telugu cinema,” he shared.

His autobiography, titled “Nenu Mee Brahmanandam” in Telugu, has now been translated into six languages, making his journey and experiences accessible to readers across India.
