Actor-politician Kamal Haasan and actress Shruti Haasan drew attention at a polling booth in Chennai during the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. As visuals circulated online, the father-daughter duo was seen initially standing in line with other voters before later moving ahead to cast their votes.

Reports suggest they proceeded after seeking consent from people in the queue, a decision believed to have been taken to manage the growing crowd and heavy media presence at the venue. Their arrival quickly attracted supporters and cameras, creating a buzz at the polling station.

The incident triggered mixed reactions on social media. While some questioned whether queue protocols were followed, others highlighted the challenges of security and crowd control when high-profile personalities visit public polling booths.

Amid tight security and enthusiastic voter turnout across the state, both Kamal Haasan and Shruti Haasan exercised their democratic right, adding to the high visibility of the polling process.
