Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has received a deadly warning from his own MLA. Yes, you read it right. Till now, no MLA in YSRCP raised a word against Jagan Mohan Reddy as disapproval for any decision that he took as Chief Minister. But, this MLA warned Jagan that he will resign the party if Jagan supports the implementation of NRC and CAA in Andhra Pradesh.
East Guntur MLA Mustafa said that he won’t tolerate Jagan supporting the controversial ‘Citizenship Amendment Act’ (CAA) in Andhra Pradesh. In a minority conference in his own constituency, Mustafa conferred that Jagan won’t take the decision which will question the existence of Muslims.
There is one thing that Mustafa needs to know. Even though many states in the country are opposing the CAA, no state government has the right to stall the act that is passed in the Parliament and even the federal government wouldn’t come to its rescue.
The only thing that is stopping the implementation of NRC are the petitions that are filed in the supreme court and the moment Supreme Court cancels those petitions the NRC and CAA will be automatically implemented in the country.
Unaware of this fact, Mustafa made some hard-hitting comments against Jagan and in fact it is a wake up call for Jagan to clarify his stand on this burning issue as soon as possible. Otherwise, it will be tough to handle the heat in the tense situations that will definitely arise in future. By the way, be careful Mustafa!
