CBI hesitant to submit counter in Vijayasai Reddy’s case

YSRCP rebel MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju recently filed a petition in the CBI court, requesting for the cancellation of the bail issued to YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy, in the illegal assets case, stating that he’s been misusing his bail conditions by using his influence to get things done his way in the state.

The CBI court even accepted this petition and sent notices to the CBI and Vijayasai, ordering them to file counters to the petition. However, neither party responded to this, and the CBI asked for the CBI court to extend the hearing so that it can file its petition, which the CBI court did. The CBI was hesitant to file its counter during Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan’s hearing and finally filed its three-line counter after postponing the hearing 3 times. While the CBI’s hesitance in filing a counter-petition can be understood in Jagan’s case, as he is the CM of a state, people are wondering if the CBI is treating Vijayasai’s case in that way too.

It is widely being speculated that the CBI is opting the same method it did in Jagan’s case and that it is also planning to postpone this case as much as it can. Vijayasai Reddy is the A2 in the illegal assets case, while Jagan is the A1. It is now to be seen what will happen.
