While promoting his latest film UI, Upendra was asked about the impact of his contemporary, Kichcha Sudeep’s film Max on his own film’s box office collections. The media inquired, “Do you think Sudeep’s Max will affect the earnings of UI?”

Upendra, typically known for his poised demeanor, appeared momentarily agitated by the question. His response was direct: “I don’t know about other films. I only know about UI,” reflecting a clear, focused stance. This reaction was unexpected, especially given that both Upendra and Sudeep share a strong professional bond. Sudeep has often referred to Upendra as a mentor, showing great respect towards him.
