The tragic death of an elderly man named Singayya—who was fatally run over by a vehicle reportedly used by former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy during his recent visit to Sattenapalli—has sent shockwaves across Andhra Pradesh. The incident has now become one of the most disturbing developments in the state’s recent political landscape.
The Guntur police have launched an official investigation, and the car allegedly involved in the accident has already been seized. In a significant development, current Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu broke his silence on the matter today while addressing a public gathering.
Naidu did not mince words. He accused Jagan of showing complete disregard for public safety. “This man has no concern for people’s lives. When an elderly man, Singayya, was crushed by his vehicle, there was no empathy shown. His body was treated with disrespect, and there was a delay in getting him medical help—which led to his death,” Naidu alleged.
He further criticized efforts to mislead the public. “They tried to cover it up by claiming a different car was involved. But I’ve reviewed the forensic report, and it clearly identifies Jagan’s vehicle as the one involved in the incident,” he claimed.
This marks the first time CM Chandrababu Naidu has spoken publicly on the issue, and his remarks—backed by forensic evidence—have raised serious questions about accountability.
With the Chief Minister directly addressing the matter and pointing to evidence, all eyes are now on the Andhra Pradesh police to see how they proceed and whether Jagan Mohan Reddy could face legal consequences.
