Chandrababu Invites Common Man into CM Convoy

In India, the convoy of a Chief Minister is among the most secure and tightly controlled motorcades. Especially for high-profile leaders like Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who enjoys Z+ category security, getting anywhere near the convoy is nearly impossible—unless the CM himself decides otherwise.

In a rare and heartwarming gesture, CM Chandrababu broke protocol and invited a common man to sit inside his official vehicle. The Chief Minister, who was on a busy schedule involving multiple public interactions, chose to make time for a heartfelt conversation with an ordinary citizen by personally inviting him into his car.

What makes this even more remarkable is that even MLAs and senior ministers rarely get such access. Yet, Chandrababu extended this privilege to an everyday man—an unprecedented move that has struck a chord with the public.

This incident occurred during Chandrababu’s visit to Kovvur in the Godavari districts, where he was attending a pension distribution program. It was there that he came across Posibabu, a local Charmakarudu (slippers vendor), who had been trying to reach out to the CM to share his concerns. Moved by his sincerity, the CM asked Posibabu to join him in the car, using the travel time to hear him out personally.

This thoughtful gesture comes at a time when another political leader, Pulivendula MLA Jagan Mohan Reddy, is facing criticism after a tragic incident where a man named Singayya lost his life under the wheels of his convoy last week. While that event has cast a shadow, CM Chandrababu’s humane and proactive approach is setting a new benchmark in people-centric leadership.
