Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and extended a formal invitation to inaugurate the much-awaited Bhogapuram International Airport. The meeting comes as Andhra Pradesh prepares for a major infrastructure milestone.

According to reports, the inauguration ceremony is likely to take place on August 1, with the state government awaiting confirmation from the Prime Minister’s office before making an official announcement.

Located in the north coastal region of Andhra Pradesh, Bhogapuram International Airport is being developed as a key aviation hub and is expected to significantly improve connectivity in the state. The project is also expected to contribute to the growth of tourism, trade, and industrial investments in the region.

The NDA government is looking to highlight the airport as one of its major development initiatives, with officials already making preparations for the proposed inauguration event. If Prime Minister Modi confirms his visit, the ceremony is expected to witness the presence of senior leaders, government officials, and people from across Andhra Pradesh.

The airport is projected to strengthen the state’s aviation infrastructure and play an important role in boosting economic activity in the northern coastal belt.

An official announcement regarding the Prime Minister’s schedule and the final inauguration date is expected soon. Meanwhile, the meeting between Chandrababu Naidu and Narendra Modi has also gained political significance amid ongoing developments in Delhi, including concerns surrounding youth protests over the NEET paper leak issue.
