Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh Drive Investments at Davos

A delegation from the Andhra Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and IT Minister Nara Lokesh, is actively participating in the World Economic Forum in Davos. The dynamic duo arrived yesterday and have already set the stage for crucial discussions aimed at attracting investments to the state.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu held his first major meeting in Davos with Aditya Mittal and Lakshmi Mittal of Nippon Steel. ArcelorMittal/Nippon Steel recently announced a monumental investment of ₹1.4 lakh crore for a 17.8-million-ton integrated steel project in Anakapalli. Calling it one of the largest greenfield projects in recent times, Naidu expressed optimism about its potential to transform the state’s industrial landscape.

The chief minister’s efforts to engage with such high-profile global investors underscore his strategic vision and proactive approach to bringing large-scale investments to Andhra Pradesh.

Meanwhile, IT Minister Nara Lokesh met with representatives from StoneCraft Group to discuss plans for developing a golf city in Amaravati, the state’s capital region. Lokesh assured the delegation that the government could fast-track approvals within 15 days if the project is initiated. If approved, this would mark a significant milestone in Amaravati’s beautification and infrastructure development.

Both leaders are showcasing their commitment to fast-tracking progress, as they continue to conduct back-to-back meetings in Davos, leveraging the global platform to secure high-value investments for Andhra Pradesh.
