In a significant and symbolic gesture aimed at reaffirming his commitment to Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has commenced the construction of his personal residence in Velagapudi, right in the heart of the capital region. This move is being widely seen as both a power statement and a reassuring step for Amaravati farmers, who have long supported the vision of the capital city.

The foundation stone-laying ceremony took place today, with Naidu’s entire family in attendance. Joining him were his wife Nara Bhuvaneshwari, son Nara Lokesh, daughter-in-law Brahmani, and grandson Devansh. The family actively took part in the rituals, making it a memorable and emotionally significant occasion.

The residence is being built on a 5-acre plot, purchased at market value. Strategically positioned near the high-speed E9 road and in close proximity to the state secretariat, the location underscores Naidu’s intent to be closer to the seat of governance. The house will include spacious parking facilities and dedicated quarters for security personnel and support staff.

Sharing the update on social media, Lokesh highlighted the start of construction, signaling a fresh wave of momentum for Amaravati’s development. With the Chief Minister shifting his base to the capital region, local farmers and residents are hopeful this move will attract fresh investments and accelerate infrastructure growth in and around Amaravati.
