After concluding his official visit to London, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is returning to the state and is set to personally meet Shree Charani, the Telugu cricketer who played a pivotal role in India’s recent Women’s World Cup victory. The CM will felicitate her in Amaravati to honour her outstanding achievement.

Shree Charani, a young left-arm spinner from Kadapa district, impressed everyone with her calm and composed bowling, taking several crucial wickets that contributed to India’s triumph. Her journey from a small village in Rayalaseema to the global stage has become a source of immense pride for Andhra Pradesh.

Chandrababu, who secured significant investment deals for the state during his London visit, is keen to demonstrate that Andhra Pradesh celebrates both global business and local talent. The government has planned a special felicitation ceremony for Shree Charani, which will include sports officials and young athletes from across the state.

The Chief Minister is also expected to announce new initiatives to support budding sports talent, especially from rural areas. Shree Charani’s inspiring story is being hailed as a beacon of motivation for girls across Andhra Pradesh, showing that hard work, determination, and talent can take anyone from a village playground to the world stage.
