Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has long been known for his strong belief in bureaucracy-driven governance. His leadership style often places significant trust in officials and bureaucrats, sometimes even over his own party’s structural leadership. A recent incident involving AP Fibernet Chairman GV Reddy and former Fibernet MD Dinesh Kumar has once again highlighted this approach.
GV Reddy, who currently leads the AP Fibernet Department—one of the most mismanaged sectors during the previous YSRCP tenure—recently made strong allegations against Dinesh Kumar. He accused the former MD of deliberate insubordination by intentionally delaying crucial orders issued by higher authorities, particularly regarding the termination of non-performing employees.
As the situation escalated, the issue reached CM Chandrababu Naidu, prompting speculation on what action he would take. However, rather than taking stringent measures against Dinesh Kumar, Naidu chose to pacify GV Reddy and instructed him to coordinate with Minister BC Janardhan Reddy for further action.
While many expected the Chief Minister to reprimand the official in question, he instead acknowledged GV Reddy’s contributions to the party and encouraged him to continue his efforts. Once again, Naidu’s characteristic soft approach towards bureaucracy was evident, reinforcing his tendency to maintain a balanced stance rather than upsetting government officials, irrespective of the circumstances.
