The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet convened a high-level meeting today, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and attended by all cabinet ministers. However, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan was unable to participate due to viral fever and spondylitis.
A key highlight of the meeting was Chandrababu Naidu’s revelation of the file clearance rankings of Cabinet ministers. This ranking, based on the number of files processed between June 12 and December 2024, provided insights into the administrative efficiency of each minister’s department.
In a surprising outcome, the top three positions were not held by prominent figures like Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, or IT Minister Nara Lokesh. Instead, it was Minority Welfare Minister NMD Farooq who topped the list, having cleared the highest number of files in his department. Chandrababu Naidu ranked 6th, followed closely by Lokesh at 8th position and Pawan Kalyan at 10th. The fact that these high-profile leaders ranked lower can be attributed to the complexity of their portfolios, which require greater scrutiny in decision-making.
Meanwhile, Janasena Minister Nadendla Manohar secured the 4th position, reflecting his proactive approach in the Civil Supplies Ministry. On the other hand, TDP Minister Vasamsetti Subash found himself at the bottom of the list, reportedly facing multiple complaints regarding his working methodology. He had already been reprimanded by the Chief Minister earlier, and this ranking might prompt further feedback from Naidu.
Following the rankings, Chandrababu Naidu urged his ministers to improve their efficiency in file clearances and ensure a more streamlined and centralized administrative process. The Chief Minister emphasized that proactive governance is key to delivering better results for the people of Andhra Pradesh.
