Ever since SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar had postponed the local elections in March 2020, in Andhra Pradesh, the YSRCP government has repeatedly accused him of being more loyal to TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu, than even to the constitution. Members of the YSRCP had even said that the SEC has been conducting the current local elections according to Chandrababu’s wish, and is even aiding in the TDP winning the elections.
Giving a major twist to all of these statements, Chandrababu Naidu, in his recent statement, said that the SEC has failed to conduct the local elections properly. He said that Nimmagadda has not been able to stop the discrepancies that the YSRCP has been up to, during the local elections. Chandrababu even said that police have failed in making sure that law and order were protected.
Chandrababu Naidu said that he would write to the Chief Election Commissioner, of Nimmgadda’s failure in conducting the elections properly and transparently. Chandrababu Naidu has interestingly made these statements after the results of the first phase have been announced, and while the second phase is still going on.
Chandrababu Naidu had himself said that TDP candidates have won in many places during the first phase, so now everyone is confused with the politician’s contrasting remarks.
