He has become a byword for power during the Chandrababu Naidu regime. He wielded so much power that he was literally considered No 2 in the Chandrababu Naidu cabinet. Though a first-timer, he was given the ministry of municipal and urban affairs. Later, he was given the CRDA department too. Today, he is not to be seen anywhere. He is not active in the TDP. Yes. We are talking about former minister-cum-Narayana schools owner P Narayana.
Remember Narayana became active within ten days after losing his son in aroad mishap. That was during the TDP rule. But now, he is not accessible at all. Within 10 days of losing power, he simply vanished. He is no longer active in the party.
In fact, Narayana was the chief funder for the TDP while it was in the opposition during the 2004-2014 period. His institutions took care of the free lunch provided at the NTR bhavan in Hyderabad. In the 2014 elections, he bore the expenses of electioneering in 2014. After the 2014 elections, he was given a ministry in Chandrababu government. But once the party lost power in 2019, Narayana has become completely inactive.
He has not met Chandrababu Naidu in years. Even when the Amaravati farmers launched an agitation or when the TDP office was damaged in Mangalagiri or even when Nara Bhuvaneswari was maligned in the house, there was no response from Narayana. He did not even visit the capital even once in the past two years. This sudden inactivity is now the talk of the town in the TDP circles.
