Giving a new twist to the opposition parties, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan sat on an indefinite fast for restoration of peace following continuous farmers’ agitation and unrest prevailed in the state.
The CM along with his wife Sadhana sat on day long fast in Bhupal. Chouhan said farmers’ organizations have been agitating for better support prices for farm produce, loan waiver and other demands and the government is already considering their demands. But the Congress politicized the issue and created law and order problem in the state since a week.
Besides, the chief minister also performed his duties from the dharna venue where all the officials thronged with files. People were also allowed to meet CM and discuss their problems with him.
