On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi and Lal Bahadur Shastri’s birth anniversary, Chiranjeevi Konidela took to social media to share his ideology on the founding fathers.
Sharing a note about them both, he wrote, “Remembering our founding fathers..#MahatmaGandhi #LalBahadurShastriJi.” (sic) The note he shared reads, “GANDHI is NOT just a name. It is an ideal, an ideology. Today more than ever the world needs his ideals of Truth, Peace & Non-Violence. Remembering & invoking the Father of the Nation, our beloved Bapu, Mahatma Gandhi on his 151 st birth anniversary. His simple thought of ‘Jai Jawaan & Jai Kisaan’ is powerfully evocative of our eternal gratitude. Saluting Shri. Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary.” (sic)

Interestingly, Chiranjeevi has an association with Gandhi on-screen too as he played the role of Shankar Dada in the 2007 sequel to Shankar Dada MBBS titled Shankar Dada Zindabad based on the 2006 film Lage Raho Munna Bhai. The film sees his character interact with the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi and consequently begin to practice Gandhism. October 2 nd also marks the day of the release of his period film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy in which he played freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy.
On the work-front, Chiranjeevi will soon be seen in Koratala Siva’s Acharya. Apart from that he will also act in the Telugu remakes of Lucifer with VV Vinayak, apart from films with Bobby and Meher Ramesh.
