Megastar Chiranjeevi is riding high on the success of Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu, which has grossed nearly ₹120 crores worldwide in just two days. At the same time, despite receiving mixed reviews, Superstar Prabhas’ Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, has already crossed the ₹200 crore mark at the box office. In the midst of this, speculation about a potential collaboration has started making rounds.
With Prabhas currently enjoying massive success with films like Saaho, Radhe Shyam, and Kalki 2898 AD, rumors initially suggested that director Maruthi might helm his next project. While many were skeptical, Maruthi reportedly went ahead with the unexpected. Whether it was this move or the steady performance of Raja Saab, talks have now emerged that Maruthi could soon join hands with Megastar Chiranjeevi as well.
At this stage, these reports remain unconfirmed and sound more like speculation. The chatter likely gained traction because both Chiranjeevi and Maruthi are performing well during the current Sankranti season. Maruthi’s past association with Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party and his close ties with the Mega family may have also fueled these rumors.
Currently, Chiranjeevi is focusing on completing the pending portions of Vishwambhara, directed by Vassishta, while the script for KS Bobby’s upcoming film is ready and expected to go on floors soon. Fans will be eagerly watching to see if this high-profile Maruthi-Chiranjeevi collaboration actually materializes.
