If the buzz emerging from Mega Camp is to be believed, Megastar Chiranjeevi will very soon retire from Politics to resume his paused career in film industry. Chiranjeevi quit films in 2008 by floating Praja Rajyam Party to bring in a blanket change in Politics. But to the much disappointment of people and his followers, he did routine kinds of politics by encouraging defections from other parties.
His party could manage only 18 MLA seats in 2009 elections with Chiranjeevi losing one of the two seats he contested. Later he merged the party in to Congress and became a Union Minister by going to Rajya Sabha. With the state bifurcation, Chiranjeevi who is the poll campaign incharge of Congress in 2014 elections led the party to a Zero seat debacle.
Chiranjeevi’s image had taken a heavy beating in all these years. The insult is further upped when his own brother floated a separate party, Janasena and campaigned against Congress. Chiranjeevi totally lost hope on politics. He thinks shifting to other party will only dent his image further and so he is considering retirement and go back to films.
Chiranjeevi had disappeared from political sphere recently. He is not even attending the current budget session of Parliament. Mega Brother Naga Babu had a meeting with fans yesterday in Hyderabad and reportedly gave indications of the retirement in the meeting. On the other side, efforts are on to take Chiranjeevi’s 150th film on to sets very soon.
