VV Vinayak worked on the script of Telugu remake of Malayalam political thriller ‘Lucifer’ for many months, but failed to impress Chiranjeevi with the final draft.
It seems to be that Chiranjeevi ran out of patience and has sidelined Vinayak as he is very particular about the script.
As per our sources, Chiranjeevi now wants Tamil director Mohan Raja to direct Lucifer telugu remake. Advanced talks in this regard are underway already and the final decision will be taken once Mohan Raja completes the final draft.
The acclaimed filmmaker previously delivered a blockbuster with Thani Oruvan which was later remade in Telugu as Dhruva, starring Ram Charan in the titular role. He might well bagging the golden opportunity of directing Megastar Chiranjeevi now.
Mohan Raja is expected to narrate his version of the modified script to Chiranjeevi soon. It is said that the remake version will have no female lead.
Interestingly enough, there are rumors that Mohan Raja will also be working with Ram Charan for the latter’s immediate next project after RRR. An official announcement was not made though.
