Congress senior leader C Ramachandraiah who is also a close aide of star-turned-politician Chiranjeevi is joining YSRCongress. He has quit Congress, expressing his displeasure over Congress joining hands with longtime opponent TDP.
C Ramchandraiah was a charterd accountant and hails from Kadapa district. He started his political career with Telugudesam Party and emerged as a key leader in it. But later shifted to Prajarajyam Party, when Megastar Chiranjeevi entered politics. He played a key role in Prajarajyam party and has been close to Chiranjeevi.
C Ramachandraiah was one of the close aides of Chiranjeevi. Owing to his closeness with Chiranjeevi, he became a Minister when Prajarajyam was merged with Congress. Since then he has been a Congress member.
Ramachadraiah sailed with Congress even during the difficult times but has quit the party after grand old party joined hands with Chandrababu Naidu. He will be joining YSRCP in the presence of YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Sunday.
Several key leaders have been quitting Congress in Andhra Pradesh due to various reasons. This trend hs gathered pace after TDP and Congress United. C Ramachandraiah is the latest wicket to fall in AP Congress.
