The ongoing rivalry between top stars Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna is well known to the Telugu audience. The Nandamuri fans bring a lot of buzz on Balayya’s films in order to turn them into super hits and Mega fans to the same for Chiru’s movies.
Whenever they competed against each other, one of them emerged as the winner every time. Earlier this year, both Megastar and Balayya arrived during the Sankranti season. These two films were produced by Mythri Movie Makers. While ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ was a decent success, ‘Waltair Veerayya’ turned out to be a blockbuster and brought a lot of profits to the producers along with buyers.
‘Veera Simha Reddy’ was termed a hit as it crossed the breakeven mark and gave 2-3 crores of profits. It got a lot of money through non-theatrical rights. On the whole, ‘Waltair Veerayya’ ended up as the winner in theatres. Now, ‘Bholaa Shankar’ is all set to hit the screens on 11th August. Megastar is working under Meher Ramesh’s direction this time.
Balakrishna joined hands with Anil Ravipudi and their movie is releasing on September 20th. The movie is titled ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’. While Balayya is arriving with Anil who never tasted a single failure as a director till date, Chiru is arriving with Meher Ramesh who did not direct a single movie in the last decade due to his disasters like ‘Shakti’ and ‘Shadow’. Also, ‘Bholaa Shankar’ is the remake of ‘Vedhalam’ which came back in 2015.
Balayya’s film with Anil has an own story and many are predicting that the ‘Legend’ hero will become the winner this time. The fate of ‘Bholaa Shankar’ depends on Megastar’s stardom. Let us wait and see how things turn out.
