This may come as surprise but political analysts say christians may back Cong across the nation as they feel Cong is the only party that will keep BJP at bay. More shockingly christian associations are persuading christians not to back YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh. They say protection to their rights are important and it is possible only in Cong rule.
They are getting ready to organise meetings across the country and in meeting when people raised slogans in support of YSRCP the organisers turned angry. They are of the opinion that YSR did not do enough for christians and even Vijayamma is insulting Bible by carrying it with her. Even National Minority Commission VC Sangliana who was present in the meeting asked the organisers not to politicise the issue and said Jagan single handedly can not do anything in the state as the issue is pertaining to entire nation.
It has to be seen how far this news is true and whether christians vote enmasse to parties just like muslims. Many are of the opinion that YSR did a lot for their community.
