Christmas has increasingly become a key release window for Telugu films, following the traditional Sankranti season. Filmmakers often aim to capitalize on the holiday period to draw audiences ahead of the January lineup. This year, December 25, 2025, promises a particularly crowded box office, with six Telugu films slated for release.

Patang
A debut venture from director Praneeth Prattipati, Patang revolves around a kite-flying competition. Starring Preethi Pagadala, Vamssi Pujit, Pranav Kaushik, and S.P. Charan, it is being described as a sports comedy—a relatively new genre in Telugu cinema.
Euphoria
Directed by Gunasekhar, Euphoria is set for a global Christmas release. The film stars Bhumika Chawla, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Sara Arjun, and Nasser. Notably, Bhumika reunites with Gunasekhar two decades after Okkadu. The music is composed by Kaala Bhairava.
With six films eyeing the same release date, the Christmas 2025 box office is poised for stiff competition. It remains to be seen which films go ahead as planned and which may adjust their release closer to the date.
