Nagarjuna’s Manmadhudu 2 looks promising after the launch of its teaser. Nagarjuna playing an aged Casanova is a plot that has a lot of potential.
Director Rahul Ravindran seems to have loaded with trendy humor that could strike chord with today’s audience. However, Manmadhudu 2 is eyeing at a risky release date.
It is aiming at August 9th release, which should be a good one given the Independence Day holiday falling in its first week. But Saaho is releasing on the same day.
It is sure going to get maximum number of screens everywhere as it is the biggest Non-Baahubali film ever.
So Manmadhudu will be losing all of its side theaters to Saaho even before completing its first week run.
Manmadhudu 2 side theaters will be reserved for Saaho irrespective of the result of the former.
Therefore, it will be extremely difficult for Manmadhudu to cash in on Independence Day holiday and hold its ground until second weekend.
Trade pundits are not in favor of Manmadhudu 2’s release date. Is Nagarjuna listening?
