Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reiterated his government’s commitment to building Bharat Future City into a global hub of opportunity and innovation, comparable with leading cities such as New York, Tokyo, Singapore, and Dubai.

Addressing a gathering after laying the foundation for Radial Road-1 (phase one and two), the Chief Minister dismissed opposition criticism that the project was driven by personal motives. He emphasized that Future City was being built for future generations and not for individual gain.

Revanth Reddy recalled the city-building legacy of the Qutub Shahi rulers, the Nizams, and former Chief Ministers Chandrababu Naidu and Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, who shaped Hyderabad’s growth with landmark projects like HITEC City, Shamshabad Airport, and the Outer Ring Road. He positioned Future City as the next chapter in Telangana’s urban and economic transformation.

The Chief Minister highlighted several features of the upcoming city:

A destination for global investments and Fortune 500 companies within the next decade.

Connectivity through a proposed bullet train to Chennai via Amaravati.

A 12-lane dedicated national greenfield highway linking Future City to Machilipatnam Port in Andhra Pradesh, addressing Telangana’s lack of a port.

Modern infrastructure, including an underground power line network.

The establishment of the FCDA (Future City Development Authority) and a Skill University by December.

Revanth Reddy urged citizens not to be misled by opposition propaganda and assured support for those affected by development works. He also directed Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka to allot 10 acres in Future City for the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) office, with a timeline of one year for completion.

Calling Future City a “world of opportunities,” the Chief Minister expressed confidence that it would stand as a model of progressive development and a symbol of Telangana’s forward-looing vision.
