With the rise in Coronavirus infections and casualties at an alarming level, vaccinating people against the virus became the need of the hour. Several nations across the globe have given the utmost priority to vaccinate the beneficiaries.
Unlike the other nations, India didn’t give full importance to vaccinating the people in the country. A major share of vaccines developed in India was supplied to several nations.
This move from the Union Government came back to haunt India in the form of the second wave of Coronavirus. The situation in India has changed completely to a level that other nations are now helping India.
To see that, Andhra Pradesh will not turn as Maharashtra or other severely-hit states, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that everyone in the state will be vaccinated for free of cost.
After announcing a free vaccination drive, the Chief Minister spoke to the top officials of the vaccine manufacturers and asked them to send vaccine vials at adequate numbers to the state.
The announcement had inspired the Chief Ministers of other states to announce the free vaccination drive in the respective states. Jagan’s Telangana counterpart KCR too followed Jagan’s footsteps.
Taking a leaf out of Jagan’s announcement, more than fifteen States/ Union Territories have announced the free vaccination drive to vaccinate the people for free of cost.
