C/o Kancharapalem Director C/o Remake Now

Some directors make a splash with their debut film but later take huge time to come up with their second one. The likes of Sujith Reddy (Run Raja Run – Saaho), Tarun Bhaskar (Pelli Choopulu – Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi) are some of the examples of directors who took a gap between their first and second movies.

Another young director to watch out is Venkatesh Maha of C/o Kancharapalem movie. While the film hasn’t created huge numbers at the box office, critics liked it big time and everyone is looking forward to his second movie. Playing it safe, as the second movie curse is a huge sentiment for directors in Tollywood, we hear that this director is boarding a remake project now.

News is that he is now remaking Malayalam film ‘Maheshinte Prathikaaram’ that featured Fahad Fassil in the lead role. The film is all about a photographer in a small town to vows to take revenge on a person who insulted him, but in that process learn that photographer is an art but not something that anyone would click by looking into the camera.

We hear that the scripting is happening and very soon the film might go to sets.
