The abduction incident of commando Rakeshwar Singh Manhas of the 210th CoBRA battalion ended on a happy note after the Maoists released the commando. He is expected to reach the battalion very soon.

The 35-year-old commando went missing, days after the deadly encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region. The Maoists announced that it was them who held the commando captive. The encounter took place on April 2.
In the statement, the Maoists confirmed that the missing CoBRA is in their custody and asked the government to look for a mediator, who can deal with the release of the commando.
Days after his captive, the 5-year-old daughter of the commando urged the Maoists to release her father in a short video. The short video went viral in which, she said: “Naxal Uncle, Please Release My Father”.
The other day, the Maoists released the picture of commando. In the picture, the commando, who was held captive can be seen sitting in a hut-like structure.
