The clash of the Sankranthi big releases gets intense as Allu Arjun is against the idea of releasing his film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo a day after Mahesh’s Sarileru Neekevvaru.
Bunny, who watched the rough final cut is reportedly over confident on AVPL’s success that he doesn’t want to miss out on early release advantage.
In fact, both the teams were not interested on Jan 10th, the traditional Friday release for sentimental reasons.
Hence, they decided to lock horns on Jan 12th, but the producers of either films had an unofficial pact and agreed upon relessing SLNE and AVPL on Jan 11 and Jan 12 respectively.
But this might hinder the chances of putting up big number on day 1 for Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
Now that Allu Arjun is confident that the movie could withstand any competition, he is exerting pressure upon Producer Radha Krishna to go for Jan 10th release. Even Allu Aravind is not able to convince his son on this.
Harika Hassine Creations is worried of bad reputation in film and distribution circles if this happens. They are trying to convince Allu Arjun to stick to Jan 12 or in worst case release it on Jan 11 along with Sarileru Neekevvaru.
The atmosphere in both the movie camps is very hot at the moment. Looks like the Sankranthi box office war is going to be much bigger than anyone has ever anticipated.
