The whole country has welcomed IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman with extreme rapture and happiness, who has bravely stepped into India after being captivated by Pakistan custody for 60 hours.
All politicians and celebrities have expressed their joy as well through social media. One such person was the Congress leader Salman Khurshid. However, his tweet has become disputable for taking credit over Abhinandan’s courage. He tweeted, ”Many kudos for Wing Commander Abhi Varthaman the face of India’s resistance to enemy aggression. Great poise and confidence in face of adversity. We are proud that he received his wings in 2004 and matured as a fighter pilot during UPA.”
He tried to grab the credit by the untimely appreciation of UPA and left everyone wondering if he is in right conscience. What Abhinandan did is incomparable as he maintained his valorous attitude throughout his ordeal. But, Salman Khurshid took advantage of social media and tried to manipulate the credit into his basket.
Earlier too, when popular actress Sridevi died, one of the congress people posted that she was honoured with the Padma Shri by the UPA Govt. That tweet sounded less like a condolence message and more like blowing their own triumph. The netizens couldn’t stay calm and trolled Salman badly for making peculiar and ill-timed tweets.
