Construction material and equipment were looted in Amaravati. The thieves have looted sand, bricks, gravel, steel as well as various tools used in construction works. The contractors left the material in Amaravati two years ago as the construction works were halted.
Recently, the CM directed to complete the remaining structures before the corporation elections. The representatives of the respective construction companies who came back to the site shocked. Tons of sand, Iron, and gravel were looted by unidentified thugs.
Even the valuable construction equipment along with steel was looted. L&T, Gayatri and Shapoji companies have been doing construction in Amaravati in the past. Representatives of those companies have lodged a complaint with the Thullur police. Police have registered the cases and are investigating.
