According to industry speculations, the makers are exploring options to find a replacement for Deepika Padukone in the sequel, and Priyanka is said to be one of the top choices. However, even if these rumours are true, Priyanka cannot immediately join the project. She has allotted major dates to Varanasi and won’t be free for another big film anytime soon.

On the other hand, Prabhas is currently committed to Fauzi and Spirit, making him unavailable for the Kalki sequel in the near future. This means Kalki 2 is still some time away from going on floors.

Additionally, Priyanka may want to wait for the response to Varanasi before signing her next Indian project.
